Code of the Comment Box

While this site is open to the remarks of any who cross its threshold, not all the thoughts are fit for the digestion of the brain.  And, seeing how oft and in what direction some folk take liberties with their freedom, it seemed good to me to gently remind those of you who wish to make your voices heard that this court, like that of any king, has both its rules and its courtesies.  These are as follows.

First, all comments are to be worded charitably and meant kindly.  Anything malicious or unnecessarily negative that is put forward will be consigned to the fire as quickly as I can get it there and its author may be censored from thereon out.  Remember, while friends are always welcome at my door, warmongers and their ilk are not.

Second, profanity or any indication of the same (as may be made, for instance, with a string of symbols) is utterly prohibited.  The same penalties as those for unkind speech (see above) apply equally here.

Thirdly – and with men of noble blood such as yourselves I hardly need say it – indecent or suggestive content is banned, forbidden, and shall enjoin upon the one who enacts it the retribution of Heaven as well as whatever corrective steps I am able to take in that quarter.

Fourthly and finally, proper grammar and usage are to be the regular form of posted comments.  Irregularities of spelling, punctuation and such, while they will not be hacked to bits with a scythe or their perpetrators racked, are frowned upon as evidences of laziness and lack of care.  Remember, please, that the sons of great lords should evidence their noble birth even in the written word.
